Exploding Heart
In this class, you will make the Exploding Heart quilt top from start to finish. You will also learn to use the Tucker Trimmer ruler to construct half-square triangles, quarter-square triangles, and a modified quarter-square triangle. You will be able to apply this construction method to any other quilt made from these basic blocks (half- and quarter-square triangles).
Fabric selection will be discussed in the first class, and there will be time during the first class to select your fabric. You do not have to purchase your fabric at The Bee, but if you do, we will cut your fabric into strips for you, which makes cutting your squares easier. Please bring any fabric you are interested in using to the first class.
THERE WILL BE HOMEWORK FOR THIS CLASS AND YOU WILL NOT COMPLETE YOUR QUILT TOP IF YOU DO NOT COMPLETE THE HOMEWORK.

This is for quilters who are ready to learn a method to make their piecing more accurate. You must have basic machine skills, experience with all quilting equipment and quarter inch seams, and have finished more than one quilting project.
Requirements:
Attendees must provide: 1) Exploding Heart pattern; 2) Tucker Trimmer I ruler; 3) fabric for quilt top. Fabric selection will be discussed in the first class, and there will be time during class to select your fabric. A personalized fabric kit is available for $125. The fabric in the kit is NOT pre-selected; You will be allowed to select the fabrics that make up your kit and we will precut the fabric into strips for you. If you want to use your own fabric from home, that is fine, please bring any options you have to the first class.
