Spa Day (Janome Embroidery Event)
At this fun event, exclusively for Janome embroidery machine owners, we will construct a rope bowl and embroidery on its base, make a shower scrub that holds soap, and learn to position embroidery designs on tea towels with a gorgeous pre-finished scalloped edge.
In order to finish all projects, we are inviting participants to come and set up their stations on Friday from 5-7. During that time, you will unload all your equipment and set up, as well as prep your rope bowl base for embroidery on Saturday and pre-hoop a project. We will also have supply lists available for you to double check that you have everything you need. Finally, we will address any technology issues on Friday night.

Please download the files prior to class, and verify that you can open them on your own machine. If you cannot, please bring your USB stick to the shop on a day prior to the start of class and Meghann will help you figure out what is wrong.

Materials Included:
Fabric for shower scrub, rope for bowl, and scalloped towel.
Requirements:
All participants must provide:
1) Janome embroidery machine
2) Hoops: SQ14b (5.5" x 5.5") and SQ20b (7.9" x 7.9") -- larger is also fine
3) Grids for hoops
4) Flannel or batting hoop collars if you have made them in a previous class
5) Thread in the following suggested colors (all color numbers are for Exquisite brand thread): 604 pale yellow, 763 sunspot, 654 copper, 5559 stainless steel, 383 dark lilac, 1324 iris, 984 seedling, 988 cilantro, 117 greyhound, 10 white, 20 black
6) Stabilizer: medium tearaway and sew n wash (water soluble mesh)
7) Software downloaded to a USB stick
8) Prewound bobbins in black and white
9) Your favorite embroidery tools (snips, etc.)
