Bargello Christmas Tree Skirt (Great Gift!)

This fun class will teach you the Bargello method and make a beautiful tree skirt. You will construct the top from start to finish. Quilting will be on your own, but you will return to bind and make the ties for the tree skirt, because you will need to use bias binding. In order to finish in the time allotted, you should anticipate some homework.
All class fees are non-refundable
Skill Level:
intermediate
Skill Details:
Intermediate quilters have basic machine skills, familiarity with equipment and quarter inch seams, and have constructed one or more project independently.
Requirements:
Participants must have the ruler and fabric. Supplies needed: 4 fat quarters of each of 3 colors (for example, 4 red, 4 white, 4 green), and 25 inch - 9 degree circle wedge ruler. You are welcome to bring fabric from home, but if you do, YOU MUST precut all of your fat quarters into 2 1/2 x 22 inch strips (7 strips from each fat quarter). There is a kit available at The Bee for $84.99, in which the strips will be precut for you. Tip on fabric selection: you need three distinct colors with a lot of contrast in order to get the desired effect. Binding, batting and backing fabric will be needed, and are not included in your kit. (The kit includes precut fabric strips AND the ruler required for the project.)
